From Whiteboard to Workslate
Enable has a strong foundation in strategic planning by helping organizations assess strategic goals and deliver business value through technology. We use a planning methodology that harvests critical business requirements that can be quickly formed into a strategic work slate. Our approach engages all stakeholders, and uses our quick start mind mapping approach to structure the process.
The Enable Quickstart Process uses an accelerated methodology to gather requirements to design a plan to achieve the desired results. The program is launched with a series of jumpstart sessions using specialized facilitation and data gathering techniques with tools such as mind mapping and outlining software.
The goal of the Quickstart Process is to gather business and technical requirements supporting the initiative, identify the key requirements, discuss the technical options, and engage all of the necessary parties involved with the initiative to gain an understanding of the symptoms and dependencies of the problem being addressed. The result of these quickstart sessions is an objectives mind map.
Detailed requirements gathering and analysis is a necessary predicate for almost any business initiative. Understanding and clearly documenting these requirements is fundamental to success. Enable has a disciplined, business-centric approach to collection, structuring and prioritization of requirements across a wide range of project profiles. We efficiently involve both IT and business stakeholders to ensure that requirements are not created in a vacuum.
Our requirements gathering process is built around our Quickstart approach. Our expertise covers categories such as process improvement, gap analysis, vendor selection and application development. Enable analysts have experience in eliciting, analyzing and documenting requirements utilizing methodologies which range from structured methods such as prototyping, as well as use case analysis to agile approaches like mind mapping and UML. Our analysts’ experience extends into the disciplines of risk, gap, and cost-benefit analysis.
Vendor Selection and Proofs of Concept
The process of analyzing and selecting packaged software solutions and/or vendors is a crucial aspect of an integrated enterprise strategy. This selection can be performed within the framework of management and evaluation of request for proposal responses or via proof-of-concept effort involving single or multiple candidates.
Enable’s approach to package selection includes an assessment of the current environment, future state requirements identification, gap analysis, vendor identification, vendor qualification, vendor response analysis, and facilitation of stakeholder recommendations.
